Hi,

I am not using any drivers from Dell's pages. At work we use PXE installation (installation over the net with images including all the drivers).

I have also migrated to MacBook Air since I wrote the article.

There are many different mobile broadband cards that have been used in E4200, so look for one of the HSPA Mini-Cards. Mine was: 5530:

Hello I have a little problem. after reinstalling my Dell Latitude E4200 (Windows 7 x64) everything went fine besides that I was not able to find the driver for "GPS and the mobile broadband modem" so can you pleas tell me which exactly drivers I need to download from Dell website.

The contrast on the 600 really is diabolical. I have ordered a kindle having tried one from a friend. My 600 is gathering dust in a drawer and I guess will find it way to the trash soon. I have never been able to read more than two pages without my eyes watering and having to put it down. An ereader should be easy to read. Needing a bright lamp and having to keep angling the reader so that part of the screen is legible is a sign of failure, pure and simple. Great shame and money wasted.

yes veency but it cant play videos or gaming apps when connected to computer... the computer will have a black screen untill the game or video is closed

I have to agree Traveler with active sync is brilliant. With OS version 4.2 in the iPhone you can have more than one active sync accounts its even better!. Its actually even better than using Exchange with Active sync in that you dont need SSL for it to work.

Thanks for your comments Trond. I am as well looking forward to Microsoft's first update, and hope that the update also will bring the platform to more countries.

I still have the WOW feeling. MS has truely come up with a clean and uncluttered interface, and most third party apps make use of it.

Having used an HTC 7 Trophy with Windows Phone 7 since November, I am looking forward to Microsoft's first update and the official launch here in Norway. Some comments on the net indicates that the official launch in Norway (and maybe other countries too) may not even come this year, but I really hope that is not true - if it is, it may be a real showstopper for Microsoft.

So, what have I been missing these past two months?

Not very much really, but since the phone is equipped with a GPS receiver I would very much like to use it as my car navigator as I have with my previous phones (using TomTom or Navigon running Windows Mobile 6.x). Hopefully turn-by-turn navigation will be included in the first update.

When it comes to the keyboard and the special Scandinavian characters, they are there already - just press and hold the A or O and a list of special characters pops up that you can just slide your finger over to select. It actually works really fine.

Downloading apps from the Marketplace is another matter. You will need to set up Zune and your phone with a US or UK Live-ID to get access, but when this is done you can download any free apps both through Zune and directly from your phone. However, if you would like do buy an app that has a price, you will also need to have a US or UK credit card linked to your Live-ID. Also, you need to know that any app you have downloaded will disappear if you reset your phone to using a local (Norwegian for instance) Live-ID after the official WP7 launch in your local country.

Apart from these issues I am very happy with my WP7 phone and I love the user interface that Microsoft has designed. It is clean, responsive and won't get as cluttered as others may become.

Spennende, jeg håper virkelig at det blir et nytt kultursenter i Flekkefjord. Det gjør jeg virkelig. Hvor er det planlagt at det skal ligge? Verven? Eller det skjer det en ombygging av dagens kino?

Kultursenter ligger inne i vedtatt budsjett for de neste 4 år , byggestart 2012 ferdig 2014.... Nærmere enn noen sinne :)
